Consisting of a core of musicians made up of brothers Pablo, Daniel and Aarón Zapico, Forma Antiqva is a Baroque music ensemble with a variable line-up that brings together the most outstanding performers of its generation. The group is considered by critics to be one of the most important and promising classical music ensembles in Spain.

Their meteoric rise has included concerts at the most prestigious festivals and concert series in Spain: Teatro Real and Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, L’Auditori in Barcelona, Palau de la Musica in Valencia, opening the opera seasons in Oviedo and Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao, the Festival Internacional de Música y Danza, Semana de Música Religiosa in Cuenca, Festival Internacional Pórtico in Zamora and Teatro-Auditorio in El Escorial.

Their hectic international schedule has taken the ensemble to major European festivals such as York Early Music Festival in United Kingdom Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele in Germany, Van Vlaanderen in Brugge (Belgium), Summer Festivities of Early Music in Praga, Thuringer Festwochen in Germany and International Chamber Music Festival in Canberra. Moreover, Forma Antiqva has performed in various halls and auditoriums France, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, Czech Republic Checa, Poland, Serbia, Bolivia, Brasil, Perú, Chile, Panamá, Colombia, Japan, Singapore and Australia.

Their 2011 recording of "The Four Seasons" by Antonio Vivaldi was met with acclaim by Spanish and European critics and, like their previous release, "Concerto Zapico", was a best seller across most of Europe. Exclusive artists for the German cult record label, Winter&Winter, all Forma Antiqva’s recordings have been met with unanimous acclaim by public and critics alike. They received the Pizzicato Supersonic Award, and were described as being "Excellent" by AudioClásica, and "Exceptional" by Scherzo. They were also "Recommended" by CD Compact, recognised as "Excellent" by Ritmo, they won the Prelude Classical Music Award 2009, and were nominated for both the International Classical Music Awards in 2010, 2011 and 2013 and the CD Compact Award for the Best Vocal Baroque Music Recording 2008 – 2009.

Their two last recordings are "Crudo Amor", consisting in a selection of Agostino Steffani’s duetti da camera and "The Volcano Symphony", the first time Forma Antiqva performs contemporary music, written by the Dutch composer Ernst Reijseger.

Forma Antiqva was awarded the Premio de la Radio Televisión del Principado de Asturias, the Premio de la Música en Asturias, the Premio Serondaya, was designated “Grupo Recomendado” by the Asociación Española de Festivales de Música Clásica and was named “Asturiano del Mes” by the La Nueva España newspaper.

Exciting plans for the future include concerts at the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid and at the Palau de la Musica Catalana in Barcelona, International Spring Prague Festival, and at the Frick Gallery in New York City.
